This is a first tech-demo, or rather a proof of concept for an upcoming 2.5D roguelike in a SCP-like setting.

Demo is quite short - just one (non-procedural) level, which you can finish in about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on your skill. WASD movement, mouse aim, switching weapons with number keys - all the usual stuff inputs-wise.

Right now we want to test the moment-to-moment gamefeel and general vibes - we would like to know your thoughts on our shooting mechanics, camera, movement, line-of-sight mechanic, and an atmosphere.

Most important feedback we could get right now is in regards to shooting - while in most top-down shooters you have to aim in enemy's direction, here you need to aim specifically AT the enemy, otherwise bullets will just fly by. This is an experimental mechanic, and we would really like to know how you feel about it. Do not hesitate to leave feedback!

nice
Yes, the sound is buggy. We're fixing it. It's easier to restart the game and start over. There's no progress yet. Please complete the survey. Thank you.

Its very unclear on why I would want to swap between weapons, (also that you can swap at all). The move speed feels way to slow, making it hard to dodge enemies. There is not much more strategy then 'walk backwards and spam click' as far as I understand.

The art look cool, but the player character looks out of place. That might be an intentional choice though.

I died and was brough back all the way to the start, I am not continuing.

I also had some lag spiked, even on a pretty beefy computer.

If you have any other questions feel free to respond

What about the character? Is he too out of character? Or too cartoonish?
