DeadElevator— Tech Demo 2 Update

Please leave your feedback. Tell us what you liked and what you didn't in the comments.

DeadElevator is a top-down twin-stick shooter that combines an SCP-inspired setting with Vampire Survivors-style progression and incremental gameplay. You take the role of an unnamed commander sent to contain a dangerous laboratory breach — no matter the cost.

Your allies are independent combat units that follow you and fight on their own. They choose targets, adapt to situations, and attack without direct orders, turning every encounter into a test of your squad’s abilities

After defeating enough enemies, you can fill the Synergy Meter and activate Synergy Mode. In this state, the commander takes full control of every ally at once, allowing your entire team to unleash its combined power.

Every ally changes the way your team performs. Different units affect your squad’s stats and playstyle — for example, a Pyro increases overall damage while reducing the team’s health, forcing you to make meaningful choices.

  • 🧪 3 Levels — Explore the corrupted laboratory and contain the breach
  • 👾 7 Enemy Types — Fight different threats and survive the chaos
  • 🪖 7 Ally Types — Build your squad and discover new strategies
  • ⚔️ Squad Decisions — Choose your team and decide who makes it out alive
  • 🚨 Survive the Breach — Adapt, fight, and complete your mission at any cost!

  • WASD — Move your commander
    Mouse — Aim and shoot
QRage Mode: all squad members attack at once (charges by killing enemies)
    Space — Dash
    F1 / F2 / F3 — Select squad members to join your team

    nice
Yes, the sound is buggy. We're fixing it. It's easier to restart the game and start over. There's no progress yet. Please complete the survey. Thank you.

Its very unclear on why I would want to swap between weapons, (also that you can swap at all). The move speed feels way to slow, making it hard to dodge enemies. There is not much more strategy then 'walk backwards and spam click' as far as I understand.

The art look cool, but the player character looks out of place. That might be an intentional choice though.

I died and was brough back all the way to the start, I am not continuing.

I also had some lag spiked, even on a pretty beefy computer.

If you have any other questions feel free to respond

What about the character? Is he too out of character? Or too cartoonish?
